Who is responsible for your data
Leon Brinkley Films is the data controller for information collected through this website. If you have a question about your data, or you want a copy of it removed or corrected, emailhello@leonbrinkleyfilms.com.
What is collected
The only personal data this site collects directly is what you choose to send: your name, email address, and the details of your enquiry when you use the contact form or email links. That information is used to reply to you and to quote for work, and it is kept for as long as needed for the enquiry and any resulting project records.
To protect the contact form from abuse, a one-way hash of your network address and your browser's user-agent string are stored alongside your enquiry; these cannot identify you directly. Enquiry records are deleted once they are no longer needed, and archived enquiries are removed no later than 24 months after they were received.
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. Data may be processed by the services used to run the site and its email, acting on instructions as processors.
Cookies
Cookies and similar storage are grouped into three categories. Strictly necessary storage keeps the site working and remembers your cookie choice; it cannot be switched off. Analytics storage records anonymous usage statistics. Marketing storage lets embedded content such as Instagram or YouTube measure engagement.
Nothing optional is loaded until you agree to it. That is meant literally: if you have not agreed to analytics, no request is made to Google at all, so nothing about your visit reaches them and no analytics cookie is created.
If you do agree to analytics, this site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by a container ID, which last up to two years and distinguish one visitor from another without naming anyone. It records which pages are read, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and how you arrived. Your IP address is truncated before storage and is not retained. Advertising features and data sharing for advertising are switched off, and Google may process this data outside the UK under their standard contractual clauses.
You can change your choice at any time using, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Turning analytics back off deletes the analytics cookies from this browser straight away.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction of it, deletion of it, restriction of how it is used, and a portable copy. You can also object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. Requests are answered within one month. If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.
